
Dr. Leon C. Romero PT, DSc, OCS, ECS
Dr. Romero is a content-matter expert and internationally known specialist in Physical Therapy and Electrodiagnostic Testing (EMG & Nerve Conduction Testing).
Dr. Romero has over 20 years of experience across multiple healthcare settings and has played an active role in Physical Therapy Education, training the next generation of electrodiagnostic specialists, and founding and managing several companies in the healthcare space.
Dr. Romero received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Andrews University in 1997, and in 2005 completed a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Georgia.
In 2016, he completed a Doctor of Science in Clinical Electrophysiology at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Utah. Presently there are less than 10 healthcare providers in the world who possess this combination of education, clinical experience and Board Certification.
He is concurrently practices as an electromyographer and physical therapist in the outpatient setting, is an Adjunct Faculty member at the GA Campus – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is Board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (2008, 2018) and Electrophysiologic Clinical Specialist (2013, 2024).
His present areas of interest include research in Clinical Electrophysiology, innovative treatment approaches in Orthopedic and Sports rehabilitation, and business strategy in the changing healthcare market.
